Our Christmas 2016

Hi guys! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday. Ours was definitely worth the wait! Evie was absolutely ecstatic on Christmas morning when she found Santa had been here! I was pretty proud of Nick’s and my handiwork the night before. We make reasonably good elves!

Evie was most thrilled with all of the small presents. Little toys were heavily marketed to kids this year, so Evie is pretty much in love with Shopkins, Nom Nums, Twozies . . . all of which feel remarkably like Legos when stepped on, ha ha!

She liked the teepee (her big present), but really freaked out over the toys that looked like they could come out of a quarter vending machine! Go figure.

After destroying the living room, it was on to Christmas breakfast. Not gonna lie, this consisted of panettone and chocolates. 🙂 But, hey, it was Christmas!

My Christmas makeup look was largely a product of one of Nick’s gifts to me, Laura Geller’s The Delectables eye shadow palette.

I plan to do a full review with eye makeup looks soon, because this palette is absolutely amazing!

Here we are, all bundled up and ready to go see the relatives! Evie’s shoes (Jessica Simpson) and my parka (Parka London-on sale now at Lord & Taylor for a steal!) were both Christmas gifts. Nick had a little help picking the parka out, but I was thrilled to open it (even if not too surprised). 😉

Then it was off to Nick’s family’s house. We had a lovely day, spending time with relatives and friends.

Evie also (finally) lost that loose front tooth! Whilst roughhousing with her cousins in the basement, she bumped her mouth on a support poll. She now has two others loose and eagerly asked if she could go back to Nana and Papa’s house to “hit [her] mouth with the poll again.” 😆

Wishing you all a wonderful new year!
