Blogmas Day 5: Looking Forward

Hello. Recently, I’ve been posting a lot about stuff: favorite products, gift lists, cosmetics. . . but this blog isn’t meant to sing the praises of commercialism. So lets take a break from all that today (as the Christmas and Black Friday parcels start to arrive, I think I need one).

This month, I’m looking forward to moments, not things. Here’s what I’m hoping for this December:

.) Reading Evie The Night Before Christmas;

.) Taking her to visit Santa;

.) The first snow (I know I’ll be over it by February, but snow around Christmas time is magical!);

.) Ice skating;

.) Drinking cocoa;

.) Visiting friends and family;

.) Seeing the town all decorated for Christmas;

.) Carol singing (poorly, but it’s still fun);

.) Wrapping gifts and placing them beneath the tree;

.) Watching Christmas films in front of the fire;

.) Legal writing in front of the fire (preferably with cocoa), everything is better in front of a fire in winter;

.) Lighting cinnamon and evergreen scented candles;

.) Watching the cats demolish the wrapping paper and ribbons;

.) Baking cookies;

.) Christmas jumpers (and pyjamas).

.) Going to sleep on Christmas Eve.

What memories are you planning to make this December?
