Hello guys! Welcome to Blogmas day 2! I thought I’d go with a tried and true “What’s in My Bag” post today. I always find these posts interesting. But then again I really enjoyed looking around the open houses when we were home shopping last year. Probably just means I’m nosy. (:
To be honest, my bag is like a port-a-home. I always carry way more than I need to. Although being over prepared can have its advantages (i.e. zombie apocalypse) it usually just leads to shoulder strain. Today I actually packed light, well, light for me anyway.
I had a meeting today, so I switched bags last night in order to fit in some work essentials. . . and many non-essentials. It was a fairly casual meeting and training (no suits, yay!) so I dressed accordingly. When I woke up this morning it was sleeting. My meeting was also about an hour and a half away. Comfort and warmth definitely factored into this outfit:
What I Wore: Cardigan: Folio New York (bought from Saks years ago); Dress: Kenar (this one’s similar); Boots: Sam Edelman (suede version can be found here); Coat: Tocca (out of stock); Scarf: vintage; Gloves: (really old) American Eagle Outfitters; Tights: are actually dark gray–no clue what brand.
My bag is the Sunday Tote from Angela & Roi. They make vegan leather handbags and donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale to charity. They are currently supporting the ASPCA, but at the time I purchased this bag, a percentage was donated to AIDS research. I have quite a few bags from them because it’s really easy to talk yourself into buying a handbag you like when it’s for a good cause! (; It looks like they’re having a sale right now too. . .
But I diverge. Here’s what I crammed into this lovely vegan bag:
Purse: kate spade new york, Cedar Street Flag Stripes Lacey Wallet; Sunnies: Ray Ban Clubmaster; Filofax Original Organizer, personal size in burnt orange; iPhone 7 plus in rose gold; iPad Pro 12.9 inch, with keyboard and Apple Pencil;
Guerlain MÉTÉORITES double layer compact (limited edition-sold out, but here’s what they have now); Lip Balm: LUSH in Honey Trap (this smells so good!); Cosmetic Pouch came in the October Ipsy package. More about the lipstick collection below:
So, I probably didn’t need four pinky-nude lipsticks, but hey, it happens. These are some of my favorite shades currently. From left to right: Charlotte Tilbury, Matte Revolution in Very Victoria; Chanel Rouge Coco in Sentiment; Chanel Rouge Coco in Superstition; Charlotte Tilbury Kissing in Bitch Perfect; (in front) Chanel Glossimer in 297 Sweet Beige. I actually only wore Chanel Superstition today. I applied it before leaving the house and had to reapply once–go figure.
Now I had to mention one more thing–I wouldn’t have been able to write this post today if not for this amazing App series: Relax+ by Andrew Johnson. You see, while the meeting was actually quite nice, and it was lovely catching up with colleagues, I left with a horrible migraine. By the time I arrived home, it was too late to take any medication, so I resolved to an early night.
On a whim, I decided to try this app, which consists of guided relaxation/hypnosis/meditation sessions for various concerns. I selected the program “Manage Pain” and, to my astonishment, it worked! While my headache wasn’t completely gone, it was soooooo much better! Otherwise, there is no way in hell I would be subjecting myself to this laptop screen long enough to write this post!
As you can see, there are many programs to choose from. I’ve tried the default relaxation one a few times, and it is absolutely wonderful! There’s something about the tone of Andrew Johnson’s voice that is, well, hypnotic. I would absolutely recommend checking this app out!
So that’s all for today, guys. Let me know if you liked this kind of post, and I would be glad to repeat it in the future! See you all tomorrow for Blogmas Day 3!

Thanks so much! It is a great shade and, in my opinion, a perfect balance between a warm and cool nude shade. I’d definitely recommend it!
